Dear Friends,

Thank you for your loyalty and continued patronage at the Ouray Chalet Inn. I have appreciated your trust and confidence in allowing my staff and I to host your Ouray vacations year after year.

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing I have sold the Chalet, effective October 1st, 2021. I have been assured that all reservations will be honored through October. The motel has been bought by Chalet Partners, LLC. If you would like to know more about their plans for the property going forward please read the article: Business owners to buy hotel for workforce housing in Ouray. Please consider following this project by visiting ouraynews.com

The motel has been an integral part of my life since my parents, Joe and Anne, moved the family to Ouray and took on this endeavor 50 years ago. It’s hard to imagine that I myself have owned and managed the property for the last 20 years. The decision to sell the Chalet wasn’t an easy one for me. I still love and enjoy what I do, however it is time to do something different. I am very happy with this decision and I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my life and seeing what adventures will come next.

I want to take a moment and share how grateful I am to my staff for supporting Ouray Chalet Inn. From Christina in the office to the hardworking employees behind the scenes, all of them have helped form Ouray Chalet Inn into the beloved fixture on Main Street it has been for the last 50 years. Oh, and speaking of Christina, don’t worry. She has plans to remain in Ouray. So the next time you’re in town and your paths cross, maybe if you ask nicely she’ll give you her recipe for her famous “check-in” cookies!

I will also continue to live here in town as Ouray is still my home. So if you see me out and about, please say hello! I will look forward to chatting and catching up with you. I hope to continue to hone my skills as a photographer and you can find me at www.loraslawphotography.com. Please bear with me as this is a developing project.

It has been an honor and a pleasure to be a part of your lives, thank you for making the memories I share with you so very special, not only for me but for my entire family.

With gratitude,

Lora
